Every 2012 theory that is currently considered almost always includes visions or scenarios of catastrophic events happening on a global scale. Whether these events center around earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, or any other natural disaster, one thing remains constant we are in for a wild ride.
All of this revolves around the ending of the Mayan calendar on December 21. Why exactly did they decide to end it on this particular date? No one is really sure, although anyone with any kind of degree is more than willing to give us their own 2012 theory. Some will say that it is due to the Mayans having some type of advanced knowledge that allowed them to predict the future of the planet some 5000 years in advance. Others believe that we are coming to the end of one cycle and the beginning of another and the upheaval we are faced with is a completely natural by-product of the transition.
The truth is that we have no idea what will happen, or how severe it will be. Scientists are saying that solar activity is beginning to accelerate and that massive solar flares will strike the earth around this date causing a complete failure of our already overworked electrical grid. This is in addition to a recent discovery of a large hole in the magnetic field that surrounds us and protects us from just this type of solar event.
So the grid goes down, then what? Well, almost all of us have experienced the discomfort of a power outage, but we take it in stride knowing the power company will restore it within a few hours or possibly days. But what we are talking about here is not just 2012 theory but the COMPLETE FAILURE of every electrical device known to man. Imagine no radio, no television, no cable, no cell phones, any type of satellite communication is gone, the pumps that we use to obtain water, or get gas for our vehicles are history. The really bad thing is the power company will not be there to bail us out. We could remain like this for many years or even decades before repairs could be completed. We would quite literally take a giant step backwards.
This is not science fiction, it is a very real possibility and it lies just before us. If you were to create your own 2012 theory, what would it be and would you and your loved ones be able to survive?
